The Dopey challenge isn’t just about the mileage! It’s also about resting and recovering adequately! To practice what works best, I’m participating in this weekend’s Wine and Dine Weekend – a 5k, 10k, and half marathon. That’s 22.4 miles on 3 consecutive days with waking up at 2:30 for the 5 AM race start times, pacing myself, recovering, and getting to bed early! I made my own window decorations and race shirts.
As a fundraiser, I’m asking for mile sponsorships! Donate any multiple of the mile you’d like to sponsor (so you could do $13, $26, $29 etc. for mile 13), and leave a comment on your donation! If you don’t have a particular mile in mind, donate an even number! For example, I could use $40 for miles 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, or 20!
At the end of the weekend, I’ll post pictures of each mile and thank everyone who donated! My goal is to have every mile covered!
